The highly anticipated Italian soulslike game Enotria: The Last Song is facing a major setback. The game’s Xbox version has been indefinitely postponed. Developed by Jyamma Games, Enotria: The Last Song was set to be released on multiple platforms, including Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
Producer: “Xbox hasn’t responded to us for two months!”
Jyamma Games announced that due to a lack of communication with Microsoft, the Xbox version of the game will not be released as planned. Enotria: The Last Song, which was highly anticipated by players, was scheduled to release on September 19, 2024.
Jyamma Games stated that the Xbox version of the game has been postponed indefinitely, attributing this situation entirely to Microsoft’s shortcomings in communication. The company mentioned that the Xbox Series X and S versions are technically ready, but they have been unable to advance the release process due to the lack of response from Microsoft. CEO Jacky Greco expressed that this situation is a significant disappointment for both the studio and the Xbox community.
The development team emphasized that they have made significant efforts to ensure the game’s release on Xbox, and that this delay was not an easy decision. While the PC and PlayStation 5 versions will be released as planned on September 19, Xbox players will unfortunately have to wait for an indefinite period.
In response to a user asking why the game was delayed and not releasing on Xbox, the developers stated that the game is ready but they have not received a response from Microsoft for exactly two months. On the game’s Discord page, the company further claimed that Microsoft does not care about either them or the players. Microsoft has yet to make a statement on the matter.
